Three Reasons Why Tall Oaks Continues to Deserve Your Support

The most compelling reason why this school continues to deserve your financial support is our students and the role Tall Oaks Kindergarten ClassClassical School plays in shaping their hearts and minds. Those present at the 2007 Annual Fund Banquet got a glimpse into the hearts and minds of three alumni who shared their memories and perspectives on their Tall Oaks educations. These three individuals, Megan Cathey—’02, Iain Roush—’04, and Brant Hauser—’96, shared how grateful they were to have received a classical and Christian Tall Oaks education. Megan is a compassionate young woman working toward a degree in social work. Iain Roush is studying classical guitar at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, and Brant Hauser is an architect at a local firm. Based on their divergent career paths, one would conclude that Tall Oaks doesn’t produce ‘cookie-cutter’ graduates. The common thread they shared was how well they were prepared for college and adulthood because during their years at Tall Oaks, they were taught to think.

The second most compelling reason why this school continues to deserve your financial support is our faculty and staff. God has blessed us with men and women, an extraordinary staff, who give their very best to the Lord and to their students. The daily lives of these men and women demonstrate their desire to glorify God and guide our children into a Biblical understanding of this world. Our teachers fit the lens of scripture before each subject taught at Tall Oaks. These men and women deserve to be compensated at a higher, more competitive rate.

It seems so long ago that our Board of Directors addressed the parents at Tall Oaks about the need for uncommon commitment to the future health and well-being of our school. That was less than a year ago. All praise to God, through many people like you, He not only supplied our financial needs but also brought many new families, staff members, and academic and athletic opportunities to us as well! God supplied our needs and we must not grow weary in persevering joyfully together toward excellence.

If we are to continue with this work, our commitment to support Tall Oaks with our finances, our prayers and our labors must continue.
