Exciting News for Tall Oaks
God is blessing Tall Oaks Classical School once again with a facility that will meet our needs as we expand our programs and offerings. Four years ago, Tall Oaks moved to our present location, where we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the Faith City Family Church. We quickly expanded to fill this space, however, and had begun to feel pressure in both classroom and office space. Webegan praying for a facility that would ease our current space constraints and also allow for the growth in the student body and our program offerings.
The First Baptist Church of New Castle, desiring to have Christian education available in their community after New Castle Christian Academy closes at the end of this academic year, contacted Tall Oaks about moving the school to their facility. The two organizations have made an agreement that Tall Oaks Classical School will lease the First Baptist Church buildings beginning with the 2010-2011 school year.
This expansion will more than double the number of classrooms, add offices, a gymnasium, storage space and the use of the sanctuary as an auditorium. The additional classroom space will enable us to begin opening a second class for some grades. (Tall Oaks is committed to never growing beyond two classes of twenty students for each grade.) We will be able to expand our after school offerings, including continuing to develop our music and athletic programs.
The new address for Tall Oaks Classical School will be 903 E. Basin Rd., New Castle, Delaware, 19720. The First Baptist Church building is located at the corner of Rte. 141 and Rte. 273, and it is also convenient to Interstate 95, Rte. 40 and Rte. 13.
